Dorly Jean-Louis

Dorly Jean-Louis is a Canadian actress, producer, and accomplished multi-disciplinary artist with a deep commitment to equity, artistic excellence, and the transformative power of film. Fluent in both official languages, she has appeared in several award-winning television series which include: The Umbrella Academy (Netflix), 12 Monkeys (Syfy), Mayor of Kingstown (Paramount+), and Salvation (CBS). Her list of feature film credits include: The Man From Toronto (Netflix), May The Best Wedding Win (Amazon Prime), and A Royal Recipe For Love (Crave).

A longstanding advocate for inclusion in the arts, Dorly served as Co-Chair of ACTRA’s Diversity & Inclusion Committee, where she led national initiatives to increase access and representation for marginalized talent. She is a member of ACTRA, SAG-AFTRA, and UDA.

As Chair of the Film For Peace program under the International Peace Festival, Dorly serves as the public face and ambassador of the initiative. She represents the organization at cultural forums, film industry gatherings, and diplomatic events, helping to strengthen strategic partnerships with national and international film bodies such as ACTRA and SAG-AFTRA. She also supports the development of the Film For Peace screening series each September, curating content that aligns with the Festival’s mission of peace through storytelling.

Dorly’s behind-the-scenes work as a producer continues to grow, with a focus on authentic and socially relevant narratives. She holds a B.A. (Honours) in Mass Communication from the University of Ottawa, a post-graduate diploma in Broadcast Journalism from Humber College, and a Fashion Design Diploma from Richard Robinson Academy. She also trained at the Toronto Academy of Acting.
